Traditional Outside Games For Kids
It seems like loads of basic childhood games that were performed outside with little or no equipment, gadgets and the like are getting lost. Kids usually are not hearing about these games much of the time, a lot less the way to play them.
Many of those are great train, cost nothing and better of all build awesome childhood memories. Lots of my fondest childhood recollections are hours and hours of enjoying these numerous games with my brother, cousins and anybody else who was nearby.
This is a list of a few of my favorites:
Red Light Green Light - One person plays the "cease light" and the rest try to contact him/her. Whoever touches him first wins. To begin all the children type a line about 15 toes away from the stop light person. That stop light person faces away from the road of children and says "green light". At this point the kids are allowed to move towards the stoplight, some run, some walk or sneak. At any point, the stop light individual calls out "red light" and turns around. If any of the kids are caught moving after this has happenred, they are out. This continues until the first player to touch the stop light wins the game and earns the precise to be "stop light" for the following game.
Kick The Can - This is a mix of hide and seek and tag. One person "it" closes their eyes and counts to some high number, while everybody else hides.
